The Link Between Emotional Intelligence & Problem Solving

I found this very interesting article posted at richlearningsolutions.com which shows the result of a study indicating that Problem Solving is one of the most important skills CEOs need in their business.

First, let's define "Problem Solving": it is the ability to find solutions to problems where emotions are involved. So, it means you need to understand how emotions impact decision-making.
The study reveals that a person high in Emotional Intelligence is going to approach problems and their solutions with a more controlled and measured attitude.
On the contrary, a person who shows low E.I. is more likely to behave in a way that will cause more damage due to their lack of skill when it comes to managing their own emotional state.
